Frequently asked questions

Answers, in plain language.

If anything below isn't clear, send us a note from the Contact page — we'd rather you ask.

What is a second opinion from Curaview Health?+

An independent expert review of your existing diagnosis, reports, or treatment plan, giving you clarity on what's happening, your options, and what to ask next. Useful when you're confused, have conflicting advice, or want confidence before a big decision.

How is Curaview different from seeing another specialist?+

Most specialists focus on one area; Curaview takes a whole-person view, connecting your conditions, medications, and concerns and considering your mental, emotional, and lifestyle context. We bridge specialties rather than adding one more isolated opinion.

Who will review my case?+

First, our consulting physician with a family-medicine and integrative background; depending on need, it may stay with them or go to an internal specialist or a trusted external expert. You'll always be told who is reviewing your case.

What are the doctors' qualifications?+

Postgraduate medical degrees, specialist training in internal and family medicine, and decades of combined experience including service as medical officers in the Indian Navy. Full profiles and registration details are on Our Doctors.

How does the process work?+

Register, upload your relevant records, and tell us your main concern and questions. Our physician reviews everything and may ask for anything missing. You then have a consultation, and within 48 hours afterwards receive a clear written opinion.

How long does it take?+

We aim to deliver your written opinion within 48 hours of your consultation. If we need more records or an external specialist, we'll tell you promptly.

What do I receive at the end?+

A written opinion document explaining what we reviewed, our assessment, and recommendations, with guideline references where helpful. Yours to keep and share with your treating doctor. Your opinion is delivered as a PDF to your registered email address within 48 hours of your consultation.

What records should I upload?+

Anything relevant: doctor's notes, prescriptions, lab and pathology reports, imaging (X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound), discharge summaries, and your current medications. More complete records mean a more useful opinion.

Is my information private and secure?+

Yes. Records are confidential, stored securely, and handled under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Access is limited to the doctor reviewing your case, only when clinically necessary, and data is kept only as long as needed. You can request access or deletion at any time. Documents you upload are automatically and permanently deleted after 30 days. Your written opinion is retained securely in our clinical records.

Can you handle emergencies?+

No. Curaview is not for emergencies, acute illness, or life-threatening situations. If you have severe symptoms, severe pain, or any emergency, go immediately to the nearest hospital emergency department or contact local emergency services.

Will a second opinion replace my own doctor?+

No. Our opinion is independent and advisory, based on the records you provide without a physical examination. It informs your decisions, not replaces your treating doctor. Discuss our findings with them before changing anything.

Do you guarantee a particular outcome?+

No. Our doctors rely on recognised guidelines and evidence, but medicine involves uncertainty, so no specific result or cure can be promised. What we promise is a careful, honest, well-reasoned review.

How much does it cost and how do I pay?+

Fees depend on which doctor reviews your case and the consultation type, shown on our Pricing page. Payments are made securely online; we don't accept cash or personal transfers. (Online payment arrives at launch.)

How will the consultation happen?+

Consultations take place through the website. Video is preferred because seeing and speaking with you adds context, but a phone consultation can be arranged. (Live consultation arrives at launch.)

Can I come back with follow-up questions?+

Yes. If something in your written opinion needs clarifying, reach out — we want you to fully understand your case, not leave with new confusion.
